The challenge
I was approached by the European Startup Commission to bring to life the findings of their EU Startup Monitor project. The research tracked initiatives improving the economic and regulatory situation for startups and scaleups across Europe.
What I did
Given my extensive background in not only report design, but within the European startup ecosystem, I wanted to distill the report’s findings into a clean, uniformly branded document - one that set itself apart from the often text-heavy versions seen in academia and public research. I used a varied green and beige colour scheme alongside leafy imagery to suggest growth. I added impact-focused infographic design throughout much of the report, keeping text treatments to a minimum. I also reworked many of the report’s infographics into social media friendly content.
The results
The EU Startup Monitor was launched in Graz, Austria on November 21st 2018, during the SME Assembly.
